THE ORIGINS OF THE FILM HOPE

With Dreams Never Die, Sébastien Blémon told the story of navigator Yannick Bestaven, winner of the 2020/2021 Vendée Globe, who fulfilled his childhood dream by conquering the most demanding sailing race in the world: a solo, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world journey.

Women, men, and children — whether well-known or anonymous — enrich the film through their stories, offering keys to help shape our destinies, so that everything aligns and everyone can make their dreams come true.

Daniel Auteuil, Isabelle Autissier, Charline Picon, Philippe Croizon, and Erik Orsenna share their inspiring experiences.

Amid this casting of dreamers, a young woman, still unknown to the general public at the time, emerged: Sophie Adenot — then the only female experimental helicopter test pilot in France — who carried within her the ultimate dream of becoming an astronaut.

CROSS PERSPECTIVES…

SÉBASTIEN’S WORDS

“The world is lacking dreams, yet they are what help us grow and transform.”

With the film Dreams Never Die, I witnessed Yannick Bestaven’s story awaken thousands of people. The film’s success went far beyond anything I had imagined — it became a true mission.

When Sophie Adenot asked me to write the sequel, HOPE became an obvious choice — almost a commitment.

CROSS PERSPECTIVES…

YANNICK’S WORDS

“The film Dreams Never Die has restored confidence to thousands of people from all walks of life. I am very proud of this film. It is much more than just a movie… It’s a virtuous movement that is already in motion. I am now passing the torch to Sophie Adenot, our French astronaut, who will undoubtedly carry it forward with brilliance.”

I am proud to see my journey become a source of hope beyond the Vendée Globe. This film has grown into a powerful movement that goes far beyond cinema. Today, I pass the baton to Sophie, who will carry HOPE forward with remarkable energy and vision.
